Getting Started

1. Download & Install

Download the latest release ZIP and extract it. Drag the Better Chat.app into your Applications folder to keep it safe.

2. Initial Launch (Gatekeeper)

Since we're an independent developer, macOS may show a security warning. To open the app for the first time:

Right-Click (or Control-click) the app icon and select Open.
In the dialog that appears, click Open Anyway or Open.
If blocked, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway" at the bottom.

3. Enable Accessibility

Better Chat needs to "see" your selected text to polish it. When the app launches:

Navigate to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. Ensure Better Chat is added to the list and toggled ON. The app will detect the change and prompt you to Restart Now to finalize the setup.

4. Start Your Trial

Every user gets 10 free requests per day. Just enter your email on the welcome screen to start. To unlock unlimited daily polishing, enter your Pro license key in the Account tab.
